School Partnership Manager

Location: Lusaka Zambia

Role Summary

As School Partnership Manager at Thrive Library, you will drive the growth of our school network by identifying, engaging, converting, and onboarding K–12 schools into our library solutions and services. You will manage the end-to-end partnership process, from lead generation and school engagement to proposal development, contracting, onboarding, and relationship management.

Work Assignment  

The School Partnerships Manager will lead Thrive Library’s revenue strategy by overseeing school acquisition, and strategic business development across the K–12 education ecosystem. This role manages the full growth lifecycle—from market intelligence and school discovery to onboarding, and long-term client relationship management. The School Partnerships Manager ensures that Thrive Library consistently increases revenue, strengthens institutional partnerships, and supports schools in successfully transforming their libraries into vibrant hubs for literacy, learning, and student engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • School Discovery and Lead Generation: 

  • School Engagement and Appointment Scheduling

  • School Library Status Assessment

  • Meeting Reporting and Documentation

  • Solution Development and Presentation

  • Service Agreement and Contracting

  • Onboarding and Payment Coordination

  • Relationship Management and Follow-Up

Key Performance Indicators

  • Qualified leads generated.

  • School meetings and assessments completed.

  • Proposals presented.

  • Partnerships closed.

  • Revenue generated.

  • Schools successfully onboarded.

  • Client retention and satisfaction.

  • Follow-up and reporting consistency.

Terms of Engagement 

  • Engagement Type: The School Partnerships Manager will serve in a performance-driven business development capacity, responsible for school acquisition, partnership development, and revenue generation.

  • Commission: A 10% commission will be paid on the net revenue generated from each successfully closed school partnership. 

  • Commission Payment: Commission will become payable after the school has signed the agreement and Thrive Library has received the applicable payment from the school.

  • Logistics Support: Thrive Library will provide reasonable logistics support for approved school visits, field engagements, and other activities directly related to the role.

  • Performance Expectations: The School Partnerships Manager will be expected to meet agreed monthly and quarterly targets covering qualified leads, school engagements, proposals, closed deals, revenue, and onboarding.

  • Reporting: The Manager will maintain accurate records of all leads, engagements, proposals, negotiations, and partnerships and submit regular performance reports to management.
